Arabic is the official language of Dubai, with Arabic and English commonly used in business and commerce. The mixed nature of the expatriate community results in a variety of other languages being widely spoken, including Hindi, Urdu and Farsi. Hotel staff may speak various European, Subcontinent or Far Eastern Languages.
